This first section is a collection of pictures of recovery vehicles, that are just a little (or sometimes a lot) past their 'retirement date'. They have been submitted to this website by Commercial Vehicle Enthusiasts, from around the world. If you have any pictures that you think should be here, if you can add history, or data on any of these vehicles - please email it to the webmaster. All these pictures are copyright of their respective owners. Most of us will let you copy them, BUT you must ask first. To view a gallery - click on the image.
The next three galleries contain a collection of accident pictures, mainly taken by the webmaster during his time at Cambridge Coachworks and National Rescue. We would like to say that no one was seriously injured in these incidents, but regrettable that is what usually happened with the sort of RTA's we were called to. You may also detect a trace of humour in some of the descriptions. the reason is simple - You had to laugh or you never could have done it. If the humour or the images cause offence, I apologise in advance. If however you have an interest in accident recovery from this era, you will find a link to more pictures and lots of videos, in our Media/Links section.
The last two galleries show some of the old Bedford TK, CF's, Dodge 90's, Thornycroft, Ford Cargo, D Series and Transit vehicles
that NRG used during this time. You will see Guardian, MSM, Easy Lift, Brimec, Holmes, Crane Fruehauf, Wreckers International, TFL,
Bulldog, Harvey Frost, Marquiss, Mann Egerton, and M&R equipment fitted to the vehicles. Reginald Forester-Smith
