Before looking at some more accident pictures, you make like to have a peep at the General Office around 1975. Of course there were no computers much less programs like Garage Manager or Sage.

Everything was done on paper with a pen and often a huge helping of blue duplication paper. The top picture shows one of the great characters of that time Wally Pells (Nickname Gromit).

Ten years later the Control Room was starting to have a slightly more recognisable feel to it.
Note both CB radio along with main VHF RT (FM around 165 MHz via a repeater on Reigate Hill).
