| No review of the NRG fleet vehicles would
be complete without mention of the most famous one, Miss Milly Tant. You
can read more about her at her own website
www.millytant.com
She joined the NRG fleet in 1983, but had actually been built in 1954 for the Army. She was purchased by London Transport in 1966, where she worked until 1980. Today she has out lasted all her sister NRG vehicles and is preserved (but a working preservation) at Brooklands Museum. She holds the distinction of lifting more aircraft components, than any other Recovery vehicle know to the webmaster and has even had models made of her. |
